| Australian contractors tend to run their drive tyres on roll/reverse as most combines are walked long distances on the harvest runs so there is less wear on the lugs. Another reason is that the tyres tend to float on top of the ground rather than bite in when on drive and most times we don't need the traction. The last reason is that you can usually back out of what ever you drive into if it is wet.
There are very few 4wd combines sold here.
