Tennessee | If there are qualified elders, they should be appointed to lead the congregation. If they become unqualified the congregation should remove them, but the Bible is clear in 1 Timothy and Titus that each congregation should be ran by elders. Also, the elders should have authority, as long as their decisions line up with scripture, but no con gregarious will be abusive if they strive to follow God's word . I would also say that the examples you gave would fall in the category of unqualified elders.
