Oh, I get all of that and am courteous aplenty. But I will still call a spade a spade.

A couple of weeks ago, in a thread touching on Islamist extremism, I commented that I think the radical imams are more afraid of the elevation of the status of women than they are of the Great Satan. It's hard not to catch a slight whiff of that odious attitude in this thread as well. The rationalization here is amazing.
