So let me get this straight...
You're saying a woman could excel at running a fortune 500 company but be incapable of leading a congregation?
That's laugable.
What has happened for centuries is that men use biblical passages to keep women out of leadership roles in the church and then extend that same sentiment to other leadership roles in society. Its only been recent history that women have begun to realize some form of equality. The truth is some women would be great leaders (in the church or otherwise) and some wouldn't. Just as some men would be great and some wouldn't. To believe that you can restrict the role an entire gender can fulfill because of words written in a book over 2000 years ago is ... sad.
