Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | That is a bad deal. Tough enough for most churches to keep the members they have even with good Pastors.
Locally, most all of our churches are gradually dropping in attendance. We have had a very good Pastor for the past 5 years yet attendance is still going down. Another 10-15 years and there won't be enough members to support our church. 20 some years ago there would be 100 or more every Sunday. Now, we're lucky to have 40. I blame it on societal changes. People just don't make it a priority to go to church like they used to. |
