NCSD | 1. Came from a 85 year old farmer whose son's fire I was helping put out in his corn stubble field earlier today...
As we are beating out a fire (with scoop shovels) that is threatening these people's whole farm and hay supply in the midst of 40 mph winds he says... "it's like my dad always told me... fire is a wonderful thing... as long as it's where you want it."
I'm gonna miss that guy when he's gone.
