Fruita CO | Wow. Reminds me of the old saying "You can choose your friends but you can't choose your family". Sounds like you are making the best of it, & have learned how to deal with it. I have 2 sisters, I am the oldest. I get along OK with both of them, but the 2 of them can't be in a room together for more than 10 minutes...it's like a dog & a cat. These women are in their 60's now, & iit's still like Junior High. I told my friend after my Mom died, in addition to setting up a funeral, I have to keep my sisters from killing each other until it's over...that was a fun week. I don't have any big answers or advice, but I get how you feel. You're making the best of a bad situation, all you can do until your parents pass, then make a break. | |
