SW OH | Years ago a former in-law lived in a trailer park that had a rail line on either side so you had to cross tracks to get anywhere. I was there several times I was there for a visit and could not leave for several hours.
This was a typical trailer park. Cops were there on a regular basis. They were often trapped as well. Heard one of them say railroad is only allowed to block the road for 15 minutes without paying a fine. Cop said it took a lot of paperwork to fine the railroad, which didn't care and the fine was chump change to them so the cops didn't bother. Once when I was there an ambulance was called for a woman in labor. Ambulance couldn't get out. Air care was called. I always wondered if the railroad had to pay for that ride.
