Subject: ground worked isnt fishy

Fires in an Australian summer are a major problem, from harvest or other causes. Some areas require firebreaks, and some areas require harvest to stop on days where the temp and wind speed get above certain levels. At the least harvesting in those conditions would be considered negligent and insurance would likely be denied. Try to imagine temps of 110 f and single digit RH %, and an environment where everything not just the crop is tinder dry. Add wind speed and the potential is explosive....

Not necessarily factors in these pics, but Im explaining why we're so touchy about fire and why there likely would be firebreaks.
Pretty much all farmers have their own firefighting appliances of some kind, and have them ready in the general area of harvesting operations. Law requires ALL vehicles and machines used in the harvesting operation including trucks , tractors combines to carry water spray fire extinguishers and a shovel or rake, for fire fighting purposes.
