How many yards will the dam be? If very big I'd say your going to be at it awhile.

Hi NEK -

We haven't decided. One plan showed 40 thousand yards in the dam, and the smaller plan shows 28 thousand.

No matter what we do, its going to be a while! We started peeling off the topsoil and filling low spots in the surrounding fields. The first two days with short hauls, we were averaging 15 yards every 6 minutes with the NH and 14 yards every 8 minutes with the Versy. So in a 9 hour day, with an hour off for greasing/fueling/lunch/pee breaks, we figured we were getting 2000 yards a day of black dirt moved and spread.

I'm REALLY pleased with how that is going, we are killing two birds with one stone, building a lake, and upgrading 600 acres of surrounding farm ground.

But the runs to get to where we want to use the topsoil are going to get pretty long before we finish!

We just bought two of these old gals. They will get thrown into the fight pretty soon......
