| I had one cut out of my yard a couple summers ago. forester didn't find hints of ash borer but I think it had been hit by lightning repeatedly being the tallest tree in the area. It was about 48" diameter at the ground and the bottom tree section had about a food diameter hollow and the chunk split when pushed by a fork lift. I'm glad its gone, it could have fallen on the house.
