se Neb | I've read "1984" and did a college paper on "Animal Farm" but I like "The Devil's Advocate" by Taylor Caldwell better. She wrote it back in the late '40's, but it is the story of a gov't in total control that is overthrown by revolt caused by the leaders of the rebellion becoming part of the gov't (the devil's advocates) and making life so unbearable that the populace rebels. Since it is fairly old, it's getting harder to find a copy. Libraries like "new" books. | |
