Subject: RE: Spraying around edge of field

Floyd County, Iowa
I have a 25 gal sprayer on the back of my Ranger. I made a telescoping/tilting "boom" that mounts on the front bumper of the Ranger.
On the end of that, I have a flood jet nozzle in an adjustable nozzle holder.
I have the pump motor running off a deep cycle battery, and a switch on a chord that I have up front with me.
I drive the fence rows and switch it on/off as needed. Can usually go about 3.5 mph spraying the fence rows.
I mostly use Grazon because of thistles, but sometimes just use 2-4d Amine if it's just broadleaves.
The boom/nozzle works pretty good, and all I have to keep track of is that one nozzle. But you do have to make a separate trip around the fields.
Just an idea for you.
