I don't know the full story but a few things have been posted here about things being wrong in the photos.
The crop is Chick Peas by the looks of things and here in Australia they are a major fire problem crop, the dust smolders and low humidity can make for a bad day. A lot of combines are washed down daily to try and stop the dust setting too much. In fact in some areas where I harvest you don't move into a paddock of Chick Peas until a water tank fire fighting unit is parked there.
As for the narrow tyres a fair amount of farms Tram track nowdays and they want you to follow in the set tracks and not have too wide a tyre so the narrow rims go on to keep the client happy. The poor tyres are way overloaded but that is another story. That well could be the reason for the custom made unloader extension as well, shoot the grain out far enough that the chaser bins while unloading on the go can follow the previous Tram tracks.
I have seen enough combines catch on fire in Chick Peas to keep me very watchfull when harvesting them.
