CIL | I'm not necessarily advocating for one strategy at the expense of other, viable options. It appears that Mr. Rosentreter has opted for aggressive cash rent to fuel his growth - contrary to what some may think, that is a very doable method, provided your financial house is wholly in order. Someone who is not extraordinarily disciplined about their finances, landowner relations and grain marketing would likely struggle. That is not necessarily to say that ILLFF is the paragon of 21st century grain production, but it seems to be working for them. Time will tell. | |
