7130 will handle 40’ fine. I’ve cut a thousands acres that way and would want nothing else. A 7130 will outdo a 7230, kinda falls in between a 7230 and 8230.
Remember, you will never make up for width with speed on the same machine. I’d rather cut 40’ at 3.5mph all day long over 35’ at 4.5.
