| I have a mowing technique that I use with my snapper that solves the rolled down grass.
I make a single pass around the whole patch to make sure there is turning room next to the wind break before making the first full width cut. On one of my patches I have to make several trimming passes to get the end straight. I start with cutting 5 or 6 paths leaving about 2 feet unmowed between the passes. I start at the end or edge of the patch and make sure the last of those preliminary passes blows grass clippings away from the rest of the uncut area. Then I go cut the extreme left streak. By giving it a couple minutes the laid over grass in the tire tracks has time to stand back up. Then I make another pass in the uncut area leaving that 2' unmowed, and then cut the unmowed strip furthest from the uncut area. So half my passes are 100% mowed width and half are not so efficient but better at leveling.
