Western WI | Funny....I was gonna ask this question also...well kinda. I fabricated my own this weekend. Took the biggest torch tip i had and used a hose clamp to attach the sparker off of a gas grill. The regulator from the acetelyne thraeds right into a propane tank. I wasnt sure how long to lat the gas run so just kept trying a few times. Finally decided on about 1 1/2 minutes ...then wait 5 minutes to hit the sparker so that the gas can disperse further. Seems to work pretty well except i need to enclose the sparker better so that dirt doesnt ground it out. Also seems that the gas doesnt go down hill very well so try to find the down hill mound so the gas will blow more of the uphill tunnels. I was wearing a hard hat with ear protection. Got some very good blasts along with some not so good ones. Best of luck. Dont think i would spend the money for a manufactured one tho. JMO | |
