I service a fair amount of front mount deck machines both new and old here, One thing they all have in common to me at least is they all operate like a club on wheels, and not only is the steering slower and more un-nerving with the back always swinging around, I find them horrible on hillsides. Other than being able to use other attachments, I don't see much if any advantage to one, a mid mount 72" deck will reach out almost as far on the side as the deck hanging out in the front on those, and operate way faster.

With that said they seem to have a following, although it seems 95% or more of my customers with them never had anything else other than a garden tractor. To each his own.....
