Fruita CO |
What happened here was everybody wanted to bale with the tractor that had a cab & A/C, can't blame them for that, but that was usually a 100+ HP tractor. The small driveline was good for maybe 70-80 HP. The dealers finally got to ordering the heavy PTO on new balers, it was an option. I always hated big tractors on balers, I got a call from a guy once that had quit in the middle of the night because he ran out of shear bolts...347 pulled by a 5088 IH. The slip clutch was welded into one solid mass, no linings left at all. And that was the heavy driveline. | |
