| Have a 2014 Ford Edge just out of warranty - the "transmission not in park" sign started flashing --
It would do it every so often as driving - not too agravating .
Then a while later the "left Door ajar" sign flashed also.
Finally took it to Ford to inquire about it - told them what it did -
they would put it on computer to find out -
Asked how much - was told $100/hr.
Told them I'd only pay for 1 hour to find out - $100 max
He came back in an hour and told me the computer said the transmission micro switch
And the door ajar switch was bad - exactly what I told him
Asked how much - he told me about $700
I told him I couldn't afford it and left.
It still flashes some times but not every time we go.
In addition it now also flashes engine is on.
Of course I know that as we drive down the road
By now I think it's the computer going bonkers
Had I spent the 1st 700 I would likely still be getting the messages.
Been 6 months now - still not ready to let them gouge me.
