I have not seen any credible claim that anything was 'stolen' by anyone.

We have neighbors who are larger and/or more aggressive then we are...some who have hundreds if not thousands of times as much capital as we do.  Big deal, I could care less...it's only marginally important.  What is important is to maintain your competitive position in regard to profitability.  If you can produce for similar cost and accept similar profit, you can stay in business.  If you can't, you need to figure out what you are doing wrong.  That's your problem, not the other guy's.

Anyone who rents land is dependant on maintaining the confidence of landowners.  That's universal and if you can't handle it you probalby should not be in the business.   I do not see how anyone could not realize that rented land is 'at risk' any time a contract expires....really, even when the contract is not expired.  How can anyone expect to continue to rent without remaining competitive in the market?
