My grandfather bought a 2840 new and it was in the shop for a head gasket within the first six months. It had several other issues and he didn't keep it past warranty. I worked at the dealership and knew the guy that bought it and he told me it was the best tractor he ever had years later. You just never know how things are going to turn out or maybe his expectations were lower.
