You are in a nice area, lot of pretty country there.
Timm sent me more information on what is called the Barrens. I've driven up the River Road north of St. Croix Falls several times and seen the signs for the Never's Dam Landing. Until he suggested I look up the history I never gave the place a thought. Now I've discovered this was a boom area in the logging heydeys.
