North Central Illinois | There were a lot of them around here back in the day too. The timing of their appearance on rural landscapes coincided with the agriculture boom day of the 1970's that saw many guys tie into $3000 to $4000 land and then interest rates took off a few years later with depressed commodity prices. Pretty hard to blame the Harvestores anymore than we could blame the expensive land that some guys bought. The farmer signed the papers. | |
