C IL | My wife is a teacher, I was blown away to learn that is par for the course. Not a poor school problem, not a rural school problem, just the reality today.
As you and others have said, it is sad. And when you hear the stories at the dinner table - make sure you want to just have the wife bring some the kids home. We have plenty of food and clean clothes and running water here. And rules and self respect and safe boundaries.
