Another thing. I got married at 22. Not saying everyone should do that, but there's no debate about what things of value were "mine" or "hers" before the marriage. Starting out with not much makes everything ours now. If I can't trust her with "my" money, I don't trust her after all.


Yes, much easier to get married when both parties have nothing.

I was 23 and the most valuable thing my wife and I had at the time was no debt, which I’ve figured out since was actually really valuable.
