North of London | Turkey vultures are 'new' here too but they first arrived in the 1980ies.
First ones I saw were when a neighbour spotted them when he was spreading chicken manure which had a few chicken bodies in it.
Asked on the CB what they were and we figured it out.
Now it is not uncommon to see a dozen or more cleaning up dead bodies.
See them regularly patrolling the area looking for dinner but I have never noticed where they nest. | |
