| Well obviously we are better off than you, so much so that I feel bad even saying that there isn't much there. Has been cold so no growth. But when heat comes it will too so not even beginning to suggest it's like you. I know what you are going through and it sucks. Wish you could have gotten a couple three regular spring months so you could scratch some feed together somehow. I don't have any cows in the Dakotas but lease pasture out. Two or three years of back to back droughts can sure screw a guys long term plans up and shorten your wheelbase. Really gets tough if real estate gets affected and your banker is renewing your loan and adjusts the real estate down and breaks you with a stroke of a pen. Hopefully it busts loose and rains. The old boys sometimes said 5 to 7 wet years and them 5 to 7 dry years. The term "dry" has a very wide definition. | |
