I have a saying, "It's hard to turn a sausage machine backwards and get a pig". And that, my friend, I'm afraid to say, is what You're up against. I believe I would confront the nosy neighbor and let them know You're fairly confident they violated your privacy, and if they divulge anything you will hit them with a lawsuit. Tough deal.

Confronting the neighbor is a waste of time at a minimum and at worst a sure way to get them to react negatively IF they took advantage of the info. A lawsuit? Think about how you intend to prove the neighbor is the source of any breach. It’s a sure way to line your lawyer’s pockets.
