When I was in high school shop class we were changing the oil on a teachers car one day which happened to have a Fram filter on it, the teacher pointed it out and said not to ever use them because they were known for having the glue come out of them and plug oil passages. When we took the filter off there was a long string of glue hanging out of the threaded port.
