Sunnyvale, CA | if you connect a wire from the cold side of the master boom switch that goes from 0 when not spraying to 12 volts when spraying to pin 4 on the EZ-Guide 250, and you are using firmware version 2.00.045, go to the wrench (in Advanced Mode) System > Guidance > Coverage Logging (change to switch) and Coverage Logging Input (Change to Active High) then you should be good to go.
You only need one wire. The ground return for the switch wire is through the battery connection.
Let us know how it works.....
If it does not seem to work properly, and after you checked the setup, in some cases there could be a ground loop offset voltage on pin 4 from the boom switch when it is in the off position. the voltage on the pin 4 can be checked to see that it does go low (below 0.4 volts when the switch is turned off). use a volt meter between pin 4 and ground on the EZ-Guide 250 to make sure the voltage goes below 0.4 volts when in the off position and to 12 volts or so (not critical) when turned on. | |
