SE MN | My understanding is that they can copyright the plans, they have almost no chance of winning a lawsuit unless you make a picture perfect copy, and even then it might be kosher for your personal home. Homes are too similar to have any truly new ideas. As far as taking pictures, I don’t believe that they have any recourse other than yelling at you, but they can ask you to leave. I’d use a laser tape to get quick dims and take pics until they ask you to leave then don’t worry about it. They’re just being ornery. Pics from a public space like the sidewalk they have no right to restrict. | |
