mikado long term lower price with higher tax deductible interest is always better.... Maybe them saying "they have a renter lined up" is there bargaining tactic... I feel your pain as you want the farm and since you were high bidder you really don't feel like you should pay anymore premium....Its like a machinery auction when you buy something that you think was a good deal and then on the way home you realize nobody else at the sale would pay what you paid....On land its really hard to separate emotions ,value,wants/need... Can you use a third party ,trusted lawyer,real estate agent (probably is one somewhere) or wife too negoiate for you? good luck
agree that you probably would of been better off with a third party. No matter what, you went into the meeting with a negative attitude.
