cropsey, il 61731 | If it's true hopefully they had an exit strategy. A rather significant part of a risky venture is dealing with the likely scenerio of failure (it is risky afterall). It's seems like the pattern in the past was to file bankruptcy and let everyone else deal with the fallout. When running a business with the level of risk (ie. high probability of failure if things don't go just right), it seems like the right thing to do is have a way to unwind everything without taking out elevators, fert dealers, iron dealers, etc. On the other hand if all the folks that 'partnered' realized up front that they had no more guarantee of profit than a commodity option, maybe it's no big deal. I can't wait for the next FJ or SF article on planning for risk taking you down. It will all become normal someday.
