WNY | Get a seal kit for that cylinder, in the kit will be an orange plastic ring that you slip into the groove that you see on the inside of the barrel in pic 1. The ring is tapered and will properly fit in the groove, keeping the internal snap ring closed and allowing the end to slide right out.
I just did one like this last week, first thing is get the end cap freed up with WD and lube it up when you go to slide it out. Take your time. The orange ring will be mangled when you done so you've only got one chance at this. And the only way to get another ring is to buy another kit. Good luck! | |
