KS | I was on the school board when we adopted all day kindergarten. After an initial phase resistance, mainly because it was different, we had great participation and support from the parents. The all day program allows for more intensive teaching and learning. I agree it is difficult to let them go that first day for the whole day. I cried when my kid went off to college. I fact it until about Thanksgiving that first year to keep the tears in check. So it is all part of life for moms, dads and kids. | |
