West Central Wisconsin | I am offering a $50-$100 per acre premium for land within 5 miles from my farm right now just to keep aquiring land close to make feed, make bedding, and haul manure. Some think I am crazy but it doesn't take much to eat that premium up in fuel, wear/tear, tires, wages, and timeliness if you have to go farther. We are not planning to stop expanding our cattle operation any time soon so we are trying to get what we can. | |
