Already spent the money and already have it wired/plumbed up. This is on 300gl spra coupe and I like the idea of shutting the agitation off from the cab to get the last gallons out.
If I understand your situation, you have a 3 boom rig with an Ag Leader display. You have an extra switch and want to use it to start/stop the agitation. The answer is NO you will not be able to use the extra switch for other purposes going through the CAN system of the Ag Leader. The switches are designed as inputs to the Ag Leader systems and don't directly control the boom sections. This is necessary so auto swath can shut off the section(s) for you. The boom sections (output) come from the Liquid Product Control Module. The expectation is that this "extra" switch is only to be used as an Input.
The sprayer configuration should be setup as a 3 boom sprayer which it is. By default the system will expect that switch F1 is the Master, switch F2 is the Left Section, F3 is the Center Section and F4 is the Right Section. The next switch F5 could be used for a fourth boom or not used at all. If you try to use it for some other external purpose auto swath and the Master get involved and there could be other consequences. The setup allows you to use different switches but there is no good reason to do so for this situation. The ability to rearrange and redefine the switch locations is sometimes used with more complex situations with planters and spray both at the same time etc.
The agitation valve needs a separate switch dedicated to it without going into the Ag Leader system at all. With the current switch box theAg Leader display will indicate that the extra switch is available but will never consult it with a 3 boom setup so its position of ON or OFF will not affect anything. You may be thinking that this is a waste since the switch is already there and could be used for something.
Depending of your switch box and some other factors you might consider rewiring this extra switch so it doesn't go through the Ag Leader but I wouldn't bother. An extra separate switch will be cheap enough and more straight forward.
Plumbing on the Spra Coupe is somewhat confusing. The proper way to handle agitation is to tee it off directly at the output of the pump with a hand valve leading to the agitation port on the bottom of the spray tank. In your case the electric valve could be installed in this path so when the valve is ON, it blocks the agitation to help clean out the tank. As I recall on some Spr Coupes they used bypass control and attempt to use it for agitation as well. This is not really correct but they are so cramped on room that they do it anyway. If this is your situation then putting the ON/OFF valve in the return control line will cause extra grief since it would block off the excess return line for control and force all the product out the booms.
