Northeast Indiana | We did the same swap, 7720 to a 9600. You’ll not believe the increased capacity, both in the cleaning area and the grain tank.
Can’t help on the fountain auger, but we did update the lights to LED and really like the extra light. We added rear facing lights for the chopper and really enjoy being able to see backing up in the dark. The side lights are for counting point rows, they turn on with the turn signal when you have your field lights on.
Ours has several updates as well, including the dual readout corner post, and feederhouse dust fan. We also updated to the sun dial shoe adjusters and formus it makes fine tuning easier.
We run a 630f with no reverser issues, and being that it’s Calmer rollsmknstead of a full chopping head I imagine you shouldn’t have issues, they were made to handle 12 row corn heads so I wouldn’t be too worried.
There are several different greasing charts when looking at the book compared to the charts on the machine, so make sure you work through both when greasing for the first time.
Can’t think of anything else at this point, but I’m sure others will chime in. You’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven running it this fall (assuming it ever warms up and stops raining) | |
