Boone, Iowa | 1999 was the 1st year for MX series and I was always told do not buy 1st year of a new series of any tractor. What do I have? A 1999 MX240. I have been pretty happy with this tractor. Think I bought it with 3500 hours on it and have 6300 hours on it. I had some sensors go bad, but were replaced with an upgraded part number. Several years ago, before I had CAPS pump issues, I installed a P-pump conversion from Area Diesel. U-joints on engine to tranny driveshaft have been replaced a couple of times. I have had minor SCV issues, either with solenoids on the SCV plates below rear window or switch in armrest. Overall, I have been really happy with this tractor. I had a 7120 MFD before this. | |
