Subject: RE: Accuracy difference between a helix and patch antenna

Butterfield, MN
Accuracy will be a little worse with a patch antenna compared to helix, but the biggest issue is the number of satellites your system will be able to pick up. When there are limited satellites available at certain times of day, it is important to be able to receive from them to maintain a good correction, and a helix antenna will do a better job at that. If you are in a wide-open area, it will probably be less noticeable, but in areas where you have trees, it will be more important.
