Driftless SW Wisconsin

Douglas - 4/4/2018 12:45 ...Or do it like most coops and buy the power wholesale from a real power company.

BTW our coops do buy most of their power from "a real power company", Dairyland Power, which itself is a very well-run cooperative.

Dairyland is a "real power company" and does a great job. They seem to see the benefit to having a variety of different energy sources. Dairyland runs solar farms as do their member coops. Dairyland also runs several coal fired and other plants. They are decommissioning a 1960's era nuclear plant.
