A blizzard is the best time to have a tire fire as no one can see it and no one is outside to smell it. We used to use the black round brickettes as some have suggested but we don't any more. The tree piles we have at work every once and a while are huge, take a week or so to burn and maybe haul away a dump truck full of tree nuts that won't burn.
