Northwest IL
I know a couple guys in the area that did exactly what you are asking about using and old silage blower. They also mounted an old fertilizer starter tank off a planter to it and somehow run a diesel fuel mist into the brush. I guess it burns brush like no man has ever seen. I wish I had some pictures to share but I think it would work well.

We burn lots of brush ever year. We have great success because we use an excavator and skid loader with a grapple to move and pile. A dozer gets way to much dirt in the pile and makes burning a lot harder and you have a big pile to clean up when you are done.
