Subject: RE: Moldboard plowing

Monroe City, MO

Back in the day. Gosh that sound old. Anyway, when we raised milo the only way to work ground the next spring was to plow it under. Field cultivators and especially our 295 IH Seedbed conditioner with two row of shanks would not handle the trash. We had a IH 720, which has to be considered in the conversation for best plow ever, semi mounted on a 1486 and another 720 with on-land hitch behind a 1586. In a good day we could plow 80 with those two. Before we used a couple 550's behind a 966 and 856, those were the good old days???
