Had one we bought gently used for 6 years. Farmer who traded liked new stuff and traded every 3 or 4 years!! We put a scale on it, adjustable spout it NEVER gave us a inch of trouble. On newer 750's everything being added was bolt on, older you might have to weld a little to add some stuff, cant remember all the details. Ours was the newer style.
When we traded we went to a J&M 1000, it has a 5 point scale and is dead on. I highly recommend J&M's.
In your case check the augers, top and bottom, hinge and gear box at the bottom and tires. Not much else to look at.
We do like the fold across the front of the cart, the way it angles forward.
