Wind energy supplies 4% of our electricity while requiring a workforce of 100,000 people to support it. Coal powered plants supply us with close to 33% of our electricity while only requiring a workforce of 50,000 workers. I actually heard these stats from the wind lobby and they were stating that wind was better because it provided the most employment! By that logic we should scrap all of our lawnmowers and hire people to cut our grass with scissors. Think of the jobs that would create. Warren Buffet himself admitted that without fleecing the taxpayers wind energy doesn't work.
