Subject: semi wheel bearing adjustment

SW NE
This afternoon I replaced one of the drive axle seals on one of our T660s.  This particular truck has the Stemco Pro-Torq spacer (between the bearings) and Nut.  In the past, we've set the bearings just by feel.  This time I decided to use the sequence from the Stemco instructions.  After doing the sequence, the hub seemed awfully tight.  When I would spin the hub, it would stop immediately.  Wondering if this snugness is actually ok?  Maybe we've been setting the hubs way too loose in the past?  Any advice would be appreciated...
