I wouldn't get to worked up over a black tank. With a black tank, you trade off algae problems for not being able to easily see fluid levels. All I have ever had are white tanks. I buy a small bag or bucket of copper sulphate at orscheln's and put a few ounces in the tank throughout the season. I have 2 white tanks that have been shedded all their lives that are 30 years old. I use them for water only so no big loss if they break.

I like to pretreat the water with ammonium sulphate so float fills one tank, then I pump out of that one to the others and add ams while doing that. I do that on windy days. When conditions are right to spray, I can load other stuff very fast.
